Most people pay for more mobile data than they use, or end up running out halfway through the month. The easiest way to save is simply to pick the right plan size. Lebara, which runs on the Vodafone network, has six SIM-only plans, all on 30-day rolling terms with no credit check and no annual price rises.
Instead of listing them all the same way, this guide matches each Lebara plan to a real type of user. Find yourself below and you will know which plan to choose. Prices were checked on lebara.co.uk in October 2026.

How much data do you really use?

Before choosing, check your phone. On iPhone go to Settings, Mobile Service, and look at the data used in the current period. On Android go to Settings, Network, Data usage. Look at a normal month, not a holiday month.
- Messaging, email and maps: about 2 to 4GB a month.
- Social media every day plus music streaming: about 10 to 25GB.
- Video streaming on the train or a lot of hotspot use: 40GB and more.
- Working from your phone or tethering a laptop: consider unlimited.
The light user: 5GB for £5
If you are mostly on Wi-Fi at home and at work, the 5GB plan is hard to beat at £5 a month. You get 1,000 UK minutes and texts and 100 international minutes. It also suits a child’s first phone, a second phone or an older relative who mainly calls and uses WhatsApp.
The everyday commuter: 30GB or 50GB

For most people, 30GB for £10 is the sweet spot. It gives unlimited UK minutes and texts and enough data for daily social media, maps and some music on the go. If you watch videos on your commute or often share your connection, the 50GB plan at £15 gives you more room, plus 500 international minutes.
The streamer and hotspot user: 100GB or Unlimited

Heavy users have two choices. The 100GB plan at £20 is enough for nearly everyone, and it also includes unlimited international minutes to over 50 countries plus 1,000 minutes to India. The Unlimited plan at £25 removes the data cap completely, which is ideal if your phone is your home internet or you tether a laptop every day.
Family and friends abroad: Unlimited Plus

Lebara started as a network for people with family overseas, and that is still where it stands out. If you call abroad every week, Unlimited Plus at £30 gives you unlimited data, unlimited international minutes to over 50 countries and 1,000 minutes to India. If you do not need unlimited data, the 100GB plan gives you the same calling allowance for £10 less.
Ways to pay less
There are a few simple ways to cut the price further:
- Pay for 12 months up front and save 10% on your plan.
- Refer a friend: you earn cash and your friend gets 50% off for 3 months.
- Add Lebara broadband and save up to £170, plus 50GB of extra data.
- Check the Lebara Rewards area for deals on brands, tech and shopping.
You can also buy a plan with pay-as-you-go credit by text, but in that case you get half the data of the normal plan, so it is best kept as a backup.
What every Lebara plan includes
Whichever size you pick, the basics are the same. Every plan gives you 4G and 5G data where your phone supports it, Wi-Fi Calling for better indoor signal, and use of your UK allowance in the EU, the EEA and India at no extra cost. You can share your data as a hotspot, and VoLTE is supported for clearer calls. The SIM is free and is posted to you, and you can manage your plan, check your usage and change your plan size in the MyLebara app.
One thing to know: the plan renews every 30 days, not on a calendar month. So if you join on the 10th, your next payment and fresh allowance arrive 30 days later, which can move slightly each month.
Why people switch to Lebara
Lebara says its prices have not gone up since 2020, and there are no price rises planned for 2026. In a survey of 57,370 customers who switched from one of the big networks in 2025, 90.99% said they saved over £12 a month on average. The network covers up to 98% of the UK through Vodafone, and Lebara has over 80,000 reviews on Trustpilot with an Excellent rating. The UK customer team is available from 7am to 11pm.
